Agnès Barthélémy is a Professor at the University Paris-Sud XI and was Senior Member of the Institut Universitaire de France between 2008 and 2018. She received the Ancel prize of the French Physical Society in 2008 and the Silver Medal of CNRS in 2010. From 2011 to 2016 she led a project supported by an ERC Advanced Grant “FEMMES” focusing on ferroelectric tunnel junctions and magnetoelectric interfaces. In 2022, Manuel Bibes and Agnès Barthélémy received the EuroPhysics prize (together with R. Ramesh and N. Spaldin) in recognition of their fundamental contributions to the physics and applications of multiferroic and magnetoelectric materials. In 2022, Agnès became a member of the French Academy of Science.
