The 3rd edition of the International School of Oxide Electronics took place in Cargèse from October 12 to 24. It attracted over 70 participants and 26 speakers from 27 countries. Great science in a great place ! Next edition will take place in 2017.
Our group member Daniele Preziosi received one of the Best Poster Awards at the 22nd Workshop of Oxide Electronics for his work “Electric-field control of the orbital anisotropy of a transition metal oxide“. This research has also just been published in Phys. Rev. Lett. Congratulations to him !
Lorenzo Vistoli has just arrived to start a PhD thesis in the group. He did his Master’s thesis in Bologna, Italy, and with us, he will be working on heterostructures combining manganites and multiferroic BiFeO3.
