Lucia Iglesias

Lucía Iglesias received her PhD from University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain in October 2019. Her project focused on the study of the effect of oxygen vacancies on the structural and transport properties of SrTiO3 thin films. She has expertise in thin film growth using pulsed laser deposition technique, structural characterization (X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscopy) and transport measurements (resistivity, magneto-transport and thermoelectricity). During her PhD, she also performed electronic structure calculations using Density Functional Theory.

She joined the Oxitronics team as a postdoctoral researcher in February 2020 to explore novel electronic states in thin films of perovskite rare-earth nickelates. In December 2021, she became a permanent CNRS Research Scientist.
